Who is this checklist for?
This checklist has been written to aid your day-by-day work behind your platform.
Your team will probably be divided into:
Platform admins (those with administration control access and responsibilities concerning managing the platform via the CMS)
Site coordinators (those who may have CMS access, but whose primary responsibility is to provide a visible administration of the platform through their profile)
Routine checks as a platform admin
We know it’s easy to overlook a simple task sometimes, so we’ve pulled together a list of things to check.
- Check for messages to your platform profile. (You may be linked as a ‘help’ profile, so users may get in touch directly seeking help).
- Check the CMS for reported items and respond as required. (Some reported items may require escalating or discussing with team members to ensure the correct action is taken).
- Check the CMS for new activity listings and review in order to mark as ‘live’.
- Check the CMS for timebank applications. (Where are the applications in the reference check process? Are they new, or ready to approve?)
- Check the CMS for timebank exchange updates. (How many new exchanges have there been? Are there any ‘stagnant’ exchanges that may require checking up on?)
- In the CMS, check for badge applications and approve if suitable.
- Browse the platform content regularly in order to spot any comments or content that you can report from your account.
- Review activities, listings and requests posted by members to check for inappropriate content or big errors.
Routine considerations as a site coordinator
- Check your profile regularly for messages.
- Send a personalised message to all the new profiles that are not set up fully to welcome to your community and help them build their profile.
- Browse the platform content regularly in order to spot any comments or content that you can report from your account.
- Use the profile to interact with all public project teams on the platform. Join teams, talk within chat rooms and check in with team admins.
- Reach out to community groups and promote your platform.
- Ensure that community partners are using your platform's features to help them best (eg, project teams for a group of volunteers).
