Manage reported messages

Understand how to view items reported by members and select a response within the CMS.

Responses & process

  • Record the reported message on an external spreadsheet or similar shared with your team.
  • Discuss the appropriate action to take with your team for the message if necessary.
  • Resolve the report by either reinstating as it is, editing before re-instating or by deleting it.
  • Communicate the decision through platform messages to the members involved.

Safeguarding others

  • You and your organisation will have your own set of safeguarding approaches & policies.
  • The safeguarding of your platform users is the reponsibility first of the users themselves as per the T&Cs.
  • Your administration team can help keep users safe by moderating content.

Guidance for safeguarding platform users:

  1. Review your safeguarding processes.
  2. Consider how your team will respond to inappropriate messages or content.
  3. Formalise your process to respond to reported items or inappropriate activities.
  4. Set up a dedicated secure document to record any safeguarding isses that may arise.
  5. Set a regular review date to consider if your safeguarding proceedures are working.

How to respond to reported items within the CMS:

  1. Sign into your platform.
  2. Type /CMS after the platform URL.
  3. Use the left-hand menu to select 'Reported items'.
  4. View the available tabs of reported items, activities and comments.
  5. Choose a tile to view a breakdown of reported items.
  6. Respond to a reported item as per your team's policy.
