Title

-a short sentence that describes exactly what the activity is.

Bad examples Good example
Efford Church. Weekly faith-based activities for families at Efford Church.
Shop assistant Volunteer needed at St Mary's Hospice charity shop twice a week preparing stock.

Description

-a detailed paragraph or two including lots of information about what people can expect / why they should get involved. Try to use all the keywords that people might search for to find your activity.

Image

-a photograph or graphic with no text that is eye catching, relevant and not bad quality.

Remember that search engines and the platform search cannot search text inside an image - so uploading a poster is pointless if the text is not in the description!

Learn how to adapt the code used for activity and member descriptions to ensure that all users can access the content in the right language.

If your platform is dual language, content in activity pages and profiles should be labelled so screen readers know which language to detect before reading.

This has to be done in the code view of the content editors by an admin after a user has added a pending activity, before you mark it live.

For example:

Welsh content
