Manage requests and pledges

Understand how to manage volunteer requests within the CMS.

A volunteer request is the pledge made by a volunteer to a volunteering opportunity. This is where you can manage the requests made by volunteers and manually log hours, send messages to volunteers, or close off requests.

  1. Sign into your platform.
  2. Type /CMS after the platform URL.
  3. Use the left-hand menu to select 'Volunteer requests' then 'List requests'.
  4. Here you can view a number of volunteer activity details at a glance, such as activity owner and number of times requested.
  5. View the request on the platform by using the 'eye' icon.
  6. Manage the request by using the 'cog' icon.
  7. Here you can manually add volunteered hours and close off the request.
