Quality assurance for admins reviewing pending activities
As a platform admin, you play a vital role in ensuring your community platform remains helpful, accurate and trustworthy. When members submit new activities, groups or events, it’s your job to check the quality of those listings before they’re published.
What to check before approving a listing
Here’s a quick quality assurance checklist you can use every time:
Clear title & description
- Does the title explain what the activity is?
- Is the description easy to understand, even for someone new to the group or topic?
- Are key details included (who it’s for, what happens, how to join)?
Dates & times
- Are recurring sessions clearly explained?
Location or online info
-
Is a venue listed (with postcode)?
-
If it’s online, is there a working link or joining instructions?
Search categories & tags
- Are the right tags selected to help people discover the listing?
- Are they relevant and not overused?
Tone & accessibility
- Is the tone friendly and welcoming?
- Avoids jargon, acronyms or overly formal language?
Images
- Are photos appropriate and good quality?
- Avoids blurry or copyrighted images (use community-friendly or Creative Commons images if needed)?
Contact info
-
Is there a valid way to get in touch—email, phone or a link to a website or profile?
Proactive support tips
- Create a short guide or checklist for members when submitting activities
- Share examples of great listings for inspiration
