Interlink RCT has renewed its licence for a further year, continuing the development of its digital wellbeing platform for Rhondda Cynon Taf.
This year also marks an important transition, as the platform moves from Connect RCT to a new identity: Living Well RCT. The change reflects a broader focus on supporting people to stay well in their local communities through early help, prevention and improved access to support and services.
Living Well RCT will continue to build on the foundations of Connect RCT by strengthening links between residents, community groups and partner organisations. It will make it easier for people to find relevant support earlier, take part in community activities and access trusted local information.
The platform has already seen strong growth, with a 59% increase in activity this year, reflecting its growing role as a trusted source of information and support across the region.
The change has been driven by rising demand on health and social care services, health inequalities and differences in life expectancy and healthy life expectancy in Rhondda Cynon Taf. By supporting earlier intervention and better coordination, the platform aims to help address these challenges while also reducing pressure on public services.
The renewed licence ensures this work can continue, with the long-term goal of building a healthier, better-connected Rhondda Cynon Taf where people are supported to live well for longer.
