New case study: Helping Rotherham plan for a better-connected community

We’ve added a new case study about our work with Voluntary Action Rotherham, exploring how a new community platform could help connect local people with the support, services and activities available to them.

How can we make it easier for people to find local support and help organisations work better together?

Our latest case study explores how we worked with Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) to review its existing community directory, Rotherham Gismo, and plan for the future.

Through our platform consultation service, we brought together residents, voluntary organisations, NHS colleagues and local authority teams to understand local needs and explore how a new community platform could make a difference.

Using stakeholder interviews, community visits and co-design workshops, we helped VAR identify what matters most to local people and develop clear recommendations and a practical roadmap for the future.

The key finding? Rotherham needs more than another services directory. The opportunity is to build on existing community strengths, making it easier for people to find support and for local organisations to work better together.
