We're now several weeks into our work with Voluntary Action Rotherham, exploring how community information, services and opportunities could be better connected through a future digital platform.
Over the past month, we've been speaking with stakeholders from across health, local government, voluntary and community organisations and other key sectors. These conversations have provided valuable insights into how people currently find support, share information and connect residents with local opportunities.
While the consultation is still ongoing, some clear themes are beginning to emerge. We're hearing about the importance of trusted, up-to-date information, the challenges of navigating a complex local landscape and the significant strengths that already exist within Rotherham's communities.
The insights gathered so far are helping to shape our understanding of what could make a future platform genuinely useful for residents, community groups and professionals alike.
In early July, our team will be spending a week in Rotherham facilitating a series of workshops, meetings and co-design sessions with stakeholders and residents. These sessions will build on the learning gathered to date and help ensure that future recommendations are grounded in local knowledge and priorities.
We're looking forward to continuing the conversation and working with partners across Rotherham as the project progresses.
