We’re incredibly proud to share that Living Well Warrington, a platform built and supported by Made Open, has been Highly Commended at the HSJ Digital Awards 2026.
These awards are widely regarded as some of the most important in NHS digital transformation. They recognise projects that use technology to improve healthcare, access to services, and overall health outcomes across the UK.
Living Well Warrington was recognised in the Reducing Health Inequalities category and was also shortlisted for Driving Prevention and Early Intervention.
The platform was developed in partnership with organisations across Warrington, with the aim of creating a single online access point for local health, wellbeing and community services. It helps residents find and connect with a wide range of support, including carers’ services, mental health groups, physical activity opportunities, debt advice and help with independent living.
Rather than being a simple directory, the platform was designed as a shared, community-focused system that helps people access support earlier and improves coordination across local health and care services.
In its first year, the platform recorded more than 220,000 views and supported over 4,000 connections to local services. A significant proportion of users (44%) came from the most deprived 20% of neighbourhoods in Warrington, showing its reach into communities that often face the greatest barriers to support.

The HSJ Digital Awards received a record number of entries this year, reflecting the rapid pace of digital innovation across health and care services in the UK.
For us, this recognition is a powerful reminder of what can happen when communities, public sector partners and technology providers work together to create more connected, inclusive and accessible support for local people.
