Golf In Society
Co-designing golf clubs as community health hubs.
Golf In Society is transforming golf clubs into community health hubs that support carers, older adults, and local communities. By using golf's welcoming environment, it helps tackle issues like ageing, frailty and dementia, while strengthening community connections and promoting wellbeing.

Co-design workshops with carers, healthcare professionals and golf clubs.
We brought together carers, healthcare professionals and golf club representatives through co-design workshops. Key activities included mapping current pathways, creating personas from real-life experiences, and identifying challenges and opportunities such as social isolation, accessibility gaps and underused community assets.
A service blueprint for golf clubs as health hubs.
Building on Phase 1 insights, we collaboratively developed a service blueprint envisioning golf clubs as welcoming, inclusive spaces offering dementia-friendly activities, respite services for carers, and social engagement and physical activity.
Evidence of transformative community impact.
The service was piloted in collaboration with stakeholders, with data collection and impact evaluation revealing: enhanced wellbeing for participants, reduced stress and isolation among carers, and evidence positioning golf clubs as valuable community health hubs. This project showcased the power of co-design in repurposing traditional spaces to meet evolving community needs.
