The story of Timebank Ireland

Timebank Ireland is Ireland's online community hub, promoting social inclusion through timebanking.

For over ten years, they have endeavoured to build community and mutual support through timebanking. By their own recognition, their self-made timebanking platform didn't work for them and so they reached out to Made Open.

Within a week, we had set up two community timebanks for 'West Cork' and 'Dublin and Wicklow', linking both platforms to each other and to the national Timebank Ireland platform, facilitating time exchanges across the country.

As the umbrella organisation, Timebank Ireland can now manage this process for local timebanks.

At Timebank Ireland, we're working to expand timebanking nationwide. Although we need a unified national platform, we also understand that local timebanks may prefer to keep things local.
